Rhinoplasty

What is a rhinoplasty? A rhinoplasty is a procedure that aims at reshaping and restructuring the nose so that it does not draw attention to the face. (The eyes should be what draws attention to a face). Our goals in rhinoplasty are twofold; first to give the nose a refined but natural appearance, and second to maintain or improve breathing. Often plastic surgeons do not account for the changes that occur after rhinoplasty, which can leave patients with breathing problems years down the road. We perform our surgeries to prevent these problems from ever occurring. A rhinoplasty is customized to each individual according to their personal preferences and the natural contour and shape of their face. We do not do one operation for every nose, rather we treat each patient differently. Rhinoplasty can be performed either with all the incisions inside the nose or with a tiny incision at the bottom of the nose. Typically most rhinoplasty cases are performed under general anesthesia. Often insurance can cover a portion of the anesthesia, facility, and surgeon fee for rhinoplasty. We also perform a significant number of revision rhinoplasty surgeries.

A rhinoplasty is customized to each individual according to their personal preferences and the natural contour and shape of their face.

What is the recovery time? Everyone heals differently. Recovery time for rhinoplasty is generally around 2 weeks for most of the swelling and bruising to go away.
