What is Clear Scan YAG®

Clear Scan 1064 YAG® laser treatments can effectively treat spider veins in the legs.

During a Clear Scan 1064 YAG® laser treatment a laser is used to create pulses of very bright light aimed at the spider veins. These pulses of light makes the vein constrict and then slowly fade and disappear. The Clear Scan 1064 YAG® laser we use is very powerful and accurate. By adjusting the settings on the Clear Scan 1064 YAG® laser we can minimize damage to the skin and maximize the damage to the spider veins. Most skin types and colors can be safely treated with lasersClear Scan 1064 YAG® laser treatments scheduled in 15 minute increments based on the number of veins that need to be treated. Depending on the severity of the veins, one to five treatments are generally needed to make the spider veins disappear. Most patients will be able to return to normal activity right after treatment.
