Rhinoplasty
What is a rhinoplasty?
Whether your nose is larger than you prefer, has undergone trauma or injury, is shaped oddly from a birth defect, or is causing breathing issues, we can help with a rhinoplasty (nose reshaping). Rhinoplasty improves the appearance and proportion of the nose, and can correct a breathing problem associated with the nose. Our board-certified plastic surgeons take extra steps to both ensure that patients are thrilled with the final appearance and ensure that breathing issues don’t arise in the future. There is no “one-size-fits-all” rhinoplasty procedure—we customize each surgery for each patient to ensure desired, natural results.

Our Approach
- Anesthesia: Typically most rhinoplasty cases are performed under general anesthesia.
- Incision: Rhinoplasty can be performed either with all the incisions inside the nose or with a tiny incision at the bottom of the nose.
- Sutures: Incisions are hidden in the contours of the nose so that they won’t be noticeable. We use extremely fine sutures to close the nose and take a very cautious and meticulous approach to the closure of the incision.
- Recovery: While everyone heals at different rates, the average recovery time for a rhinoplasty is 14 to 21 days. At that time, most of the normal swelling and bruising will have dissipated.
